How to Hypnotize Someone

Hypnotism seems to be something unreal, even magical. If you’ve ever been to a hypnotist show, you know that. Even if you’ve just seen someone you know being hypnotized by an amateur at a party, it is a fascinating and eerie experience. Seeing things like this has led many people to learn how to hypnotize someone.

There are different types of hypnosis. Stage hypnosis is a form of entertainment, and is the type most people are familiar with. In stage hypnosis, the hypnotist will hypnotize one or many people, getting them to do strange things. A lesser-known but common form of hypnosis is hypnotherapy. This is very much what it sounds like. A hypnotist uses their skills to help people overcome addictions or other personal problems. Another type of hypnosis is one that some people use in everyday interactions with other people. Politicians and salesmen are supposedly masters of this kind of hypnosis. It is what makes them so successful.

Hypnosis is not unconsciousness. When someone is hypnotized, it is more like they are so focused on one thing, everything else is forgotten. Hypnosis is also referred to as hyper-attentiveness.

Much of hypnosis is based on trust. If people trust you, it is easier to hypnotize them. Therapists go through a lot of training in order to learn how to instill this trust in their patients. Stage magicians use their expertise and confidence to get their subjects to trust them. Others, such as salesmen and politicians, use certain wording and body language to engage people’s attention.

People are sometimes fearful of hypnosis, because it seems like such a foreign idea. Also, many of them still think it is something dangerous, and that a hypnotist can exercise mind control over his subjects. Of course, this is not true, but stereotypes die hard.

It is in fact, not uncommon for a person to put themselves in a state very close to a hypnotic trance every day. It sounds strange, but it is just part of how the human mind works. Have you ever gotten really absorbed into a book, movie, or other activity? Did you get to the point where you were so focused that you didn’t notice that someone was talking to you? This is not unlike a hypnotic trance. When you tear yourself away from the activity, you notice your eyes can be red and moist, and you feel almost like you are ‘waking up.’ These are common signs of hypnosis. You basically hypnotized yourself.

It is not difficult to learn how to hypnotize someone. All you need is the right tutor or course. There are many quality courses on the market, and many of them will have you seeing results quickly. Take a look around and have fun. Just remember, be patient, and you’ll be a master sooner than you think.
